Million visitors to the shops hunting Black Friday deals

Fairfax, Virginia - millions of American consumers braved long lines and hours of the morning to catch the Friday morning in the hope of the perfect Christmas gift.

Kevin Poon, 18, waited more than 30 hours through the doors of the so-called Black Friday first in an electronics store in the suburbs of Washington, hoping to snatch a flat-screen TV for only$ 200 with laptops and other electronic goodies for the whole family.

The savings - more than $ 300 on TV alone - is worth the wait, he said.

The line that winds over one thousand clients around the Best Buy electronics in Northern Virginia was only one scene, such as national retail chain, opened even earlier than in past years to win customers with special offers.

The chain, with other discounters like Wal-Mart and Target, have opened their doors at midnight on Friday, traditionally the start of the holiday shopping season.
The weak economy has more people than ever to find the best deal. The National Retail Federation said it expects up to 152million people hit stores on Friday only.
